Linda Christensen
Kalispell artist Linda Christensen has studied art through various classes and workshops in the US and abroad. Study of Old Masters techniques with the Fantastic Realists in Austria was a launching point for Linda’s creative and intuitive path in painting.  A deep love for nature has an enormous influence on the subject matter in her artwork.  Linda works in various artistic mediums.  Watercolor is Linda’s most favorite painting medium due to the flow, intermingling colors and subtle nuances.

Bird Watercolor Series
This series of paintings originated from a 30 paintings in 30 days challenge in January, 2016.  As a lover of all nature, I quickly adopted the theme of birds.  The words emerged as an act of artist play.  The words invoke humor, wit, joy, symbolism and other human emotions.  The addition of words to these painting also allows each painting the ability to literally speak to the viewer.

Each of these little 4x6 images is an original watercolor on Arches paper.
The joy, beauty and gaiety within each painting influences me to find new ways to enrich the earth.  Birds invite me into a fantasy world of flying.  Painting this series has been pure joy for me as an artist.
